Can I take this battery on an airplane?

We offer two TS replacement batteries. You can take our 300Wh battery on an airplane since that Wh is within the max allowed. You can use the same documentation you got from TravelScoot® to show airline agents (if needed), since it is not battery specific and explains the FAA regulation. https://www.travelscoot.com/air-travel-with-an-electric-mobility-scooter/

You cannot take the 600Wh battery on an airplane since it exceeds the FAA regulation for energy capacity.

Do you have a warranty?

We offer a 2-year warranty against internal defect only. So anything else, such as submerging the battery, dropping it, burning it, acts of God, opening the battery case, shorting the contacts, feeding it to a hippo, etc., etc., will likely damage the battery and are not covered under the warranty. The 2-year period begins with date of sale, and transpires over the standard USA calendar period. The warranty is still in effect when the battery is turned off or not in use. Personally identifying as being from another timeline/multiverse, or from a planet where time passes differently will not increase the warranty period; each battery sold is logged with an internal serial number and the date of sale is recorded in a database.

Can the battery be used on any TravelScoot® scooter?

TravelScoot® has offered different model scooters and will continue to innovate and present new scooter models. Our batteries are specifically designed to be a replacement for their line of Lithium batteries (151Wh, 252Wh, and 420Wh). If your scooter can fit these Lithium batteries, then our 300Wh battery can fit in your scooter. Our 600Wh battery is twice as tall as our 300Wh battery and we've only tested it in the Deluxe scooter. 

Please let us know if you have the older style scooter with the red battery connector plug so we can send the right pigtail wire to match your scooter.

How are these batteries safer?

• Safer for the environment: The battery cases are 3D printed from PLA (plant-based bioplastic)
• Safer for use: Each battery has an internal management circuit board to care for temps, overcharging/over discharging, etc. Plus the charger is a smart charger and will automatically shut off at full charge.
• Safer for longer battery life: Each battery also has an On/Off switch to deactivate the battery during travel or storage periods.
• Safer for your wallet: Averaging costs across all models, their batteries are around 94.1% more expensive than our batteries for the same energy.
• Safer for the economy: While we currently import some of the components (like the individual Lithium cells), we domestically produce or source all the other components, and all assembly takes place domestically. We are looking to source all components domestically. This creates/supports domestic jobs and families, and also strengthens our supply chain to provide you timely products!
